Every now and then I like to look up the kids of shows or movies from the 90s (much like 90s bands) and see what they’re up to now. Today, I’m checking out the kids from Grace Under Fire.
On the show, Grace had four kids, one of which she had given up for adoption before the show takes place, and we hear about him every once in a while. His name was Matthew. Second oldest was Quentin, third was Libby, and last the baby Patrick. The show ran from 1993 to 1998. So, what are the kids up to now?
Let’s start with the oldest, Matthew. He only had a few appearances on the show, but when he did, he was played by Tom Everett Scott. This one is easy.
He’s done a lot since then. I think the first thing I saw him in after GUF was An American Werewolf In Paris, which was a pretty good damn movie. I really enjoyed him in it, and it sealed my love of him as an actor. Lately you’ve probably seen him in such things as La La Land, Z Nation, 13 Reasons Why, and Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul.
The next oldest son, Quentin, was portrayed by actor Jon Paul Steuer, who had a pretty good career as a child actor up until GUF. Before the last season he quit the show because of Brett Butler’s backstage bullshit. And he hasn’t acted since.
According to Wikipedia, he moved to Denver and in 2003 he formed a glam punk band called the Kill City Thrillers, in which he sang under the name Jonny P. Jewels. They changed their name to Soda Pop Kids, and in 2005 moved to Portland, Oregon. They broke up in 2009.
Lastly, he served and bartended for a while and in 2015 he got together with chef Sean Sigmon to open Harvest at the Bindery, a vegan restaurant in Portland. When he left the show, though, he was replaced by Sam Horrigan, who will not make an appearance in this article.
On Grace Under Fire, his younger sister Libby was played by Kaitlin Cullum. She was a little darling.
After GUF, Kaitlin spent some time acting in other things such as Galaxy Quest, 7th Heaven, 8 Simple Rules, and Malcolm In The Middle. Her last project was in 2013 called Jug Face, and it looks like it could be a pretty good horror flick. I haven’t seen it yet, but it’s now on my list.
Doing a Google Image Search for her turns out quite a few pictures like this next one, showing just how beautiful a woman she has become.
There’s even a picture of her grown up but sporting the curly hair and you can definitely tell she was Libby. It’s all in the hair.
Unfortunately that’s all I could find on her. IMDB has her listed in a new movie titled Bring Me The Head Of Lance Henriksen, and it says it’s in post-production, but apparently this project has been “being made” for a while now.
Lastly, the baby brother Patrick. He was played by twin brothers, Dylan and Cole Sprouse. He started his… they started their acting career on Grace Under Fire, but had a pretty good damn career after that.
Their careers saw them in roles in such awesome things as Big Daddy, Friends, a bunch of direct to DVD things, and The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody among others. They started their own clothing brand in 2005 and went on to graduated college in 2015.
I got all this info on the Sprouse Brothers from EMGN.com. There are more pictures and a lot of other cool info that I didn’t share. Check it out.
That’s what’s up with Grace Kelly’s kids these days. I’d tell you what’s up with Brett Butler these days, but it might scare you too much.
