Cool Cosmos: Orion

When I was living at my last house, I went out to the porch to smoke a cigarette and let the dog out. If I looked up and to the left, I always saw The Big Dipper. It was like a friendly neighbor that I always got to see, who didn’t talk to me. Those are the best neighbors.

Now that I’ve moved, every night when I get home, I get out of my car, walk around it and look up, I see Orion.

What’s cool about Orion are his shoulders, among other things. His right shoulder, the one on the top left of the picture (cause he’s facing us) that is big and orange, is Betelgeuse. And his other shoulder is Bellatrix. You know, these two.
