My Podcast Is Back

I decided to bring my podcast, On The Phone With Matt, back from the dead. I really do wish I could blog more, but I never have the ambition to type. Talking is easier. It’s less clickity-clackity. So yeah, the podcast is back. New episodes should be out every Wednesday or so. You can find out more on that blog, linked above. Or you can just go listen if you like, on Spotify, Apple, Goodpods, and a couple others.

Quick History Returning

I’ve decided to bring back my Quick History podcast. It originally ran earlier this year from February to June. Around the time I stopped doing it, I was going through quite a bit and mentally I wasn’t there. Also the numbers weren’t that great, so I thought it would be no big deal to give it up.

Recently I decided to go look at the numbers again, and they were surprising. I also really enjoyed doing it, so I decided to bring it back. Then I saw the Wrapped for that podcast and was shocked at what I read, assuming the numbers were accurate.

Apparently it is in the top 30% of podcasts followed on Spotify, and is a top 10 for 23 fans, top 5 for 16 fans, and top podcast for 3 fans.

I was blown away.

I started writing and producing new episodes, and have decided to bring it back on Friday, January 6th, 2023. It will run like it used to, with one new episode every Friday. I’ll probably do 15 episodes like I did before, in what was the first season, take a month off or something, then go back at it.

Click it to go to Spotify

Also, I created an Instagram page for it, and that will be the new online home of the show. I’m not doing another WordPress site, though one day I might. If you’re interested in getting caught up on the show, you can check it out on the Instagram page, where I’m posting Audiograms of each of the original episodes, which I’d like to do on WordPress, but WordPress doesn’t allow videos to be uploaded. I’ll probably also be doing the audiograms for the new episodes and posting them on IG as well. Or you can just head over to any of the places its on and listen there. You can click the image above to go to it on Spotify.

It’s also on iTunes, Google Podcasts, and Goodpods, and eventually I’ll be adding it to Amazon and iHeartRadio.

Anchor End Of Year “Story”

It’s called Wrapped, and this is the end of year thing everyone who has a podcast on Anchor gets, apparently. I was on Anchor last year but didn’t get one of these, so I’m guessing this is new. Hopefully it’s a one and done. If you’d like to see it for yourself, you can click here and watch what I watched. Except that’s unnecessary, because here it is, but with more context.

This one is for my newest podcast, To Catch A Cryptid, that I do with my wife. This Friday will be our 6th episode. That means that we put out 5 episodes before getting this “wrapped” thing, that probably should’ve come out, I don’t know, at the end of December? Maybe the new year? No, the end of November is the new end of the year now. I’m contacting the New Year’s Committee.

Christmas is now in November, Halloween in September, Thanksgiving in September… wait, October… Never mind, I’m confused.

It starts by showing me this…

A Keto Lifestyle

A couple weeks ago I posted about going Keto. I haven’t yet, but I’m slowly moving my way towards that.

That’s not why I’m writing this. I’m writing to tell you that if you want to get a ton of bot accounts to follow you and to like a post of yours without even reading it just to promote their own site, name one of your posts something that has to do with diet or exercise. Or both! Double shot! Make sure you add the proper tags to the post to drive them to you quicker!

Trust me, this post will get a dozen or more likes and probably a couple of follows, too. Keep a look out!

Oh yeah, my second season of my podcast has started already, and I’m now doing a YouTube channel for it, too! If you’d like, go check that out!

My New Podcast

I’ve upgraded from a phone to a home studio, so I changed my podcast to In The Studio With Matt. Same crap, different name. Not only will this one be on all the same podcast sites and apps it was before, but it’ll also be on YouTube! If you don’t want to see my face, and I can’t say I blame you, don’t go the YouTube route. Also, don’t watch the video below. The new season starts on January 4th!

Update To Podcast Posts

Hey y’all, I had to remove the posts with my podcast embedded in them because they were seriously slowing down the site’s loading time, and I don’t want to do that to you, but more importantly, I don’t want to do that to me. I will continue to post updates on it for a while, but instead I’ll just post links to the show instead of putting it directly in the post, like I did previously on International Podcast Day.

Also, when the site finally would load, there was no telling if the podcast player would show up or not, and that kind of annoyed me. I guess WordPress still has some work to do on that side of things.

Lastly, the banner to the right for my podcast, the link on it has been updated so now it should work. I hadn’t realized it was the old link until just now. Sorry!

Thanks for listening, if you have. I really do appreciate it, and I hope you enjoyed it, even if just a little. If you’d like more options for listening, I have them now! Click the banner to the right to see all the places you can listen with direct links to the podcast!

On The Phone S1E2

My next episode is up! I was going to embed the episode here, but for some reason it won’t, so click the link and check it out on Anchor!

I decided to do them twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, but then I found out today is International Podcast Day, so I did a special show just for it. My next will be next Tuesday.

I also created a website for it, which isn’t much, but if you’re interested you can check it out. I do have my podcast on a few different sites and they’re all listed on my site, so if you use one of them and can listen there, have at it!

I also have a Twitter account for the show, so if you’re on Twitter, check it out.

Spotify Review

One thing Twitter is absolutely wonderful for is contacting businesses and getting help. Which is why I don’t get rid of my account like I really want to. Because if I have an issue with any business, and if you know me I always do, the first thing I do is go to Twitter and tell them what for.

I’ve contacted many businesses for many problems, usually restaurants, but the one that was the most awesome with helping me has got to be Spotify. If you’ve never heard of them, they’re a music/podcast streaming service like Pandora. You can use their free version that has ads, or you can pay a small monthly fee for their premium, which allows you all kinds of cool things and doesn’t play ads.

Their selection of music is amazing, and I had a fun time searching through their catalogue to find stuff for my own playlists. What’s even cooler is, in the premium, if you download songs (which takes no time at all when connected to WiFi, and takes up almost no room on your phone) you can use their Offline Mode to listen when you don’t have service, with no real issues. Since I live in the country with no reception, the offline mode is awesome, and I can hook up my phone to my car stereo and listen to my playlist while I’m driving, which is super awesome cause my CD player broke and the radio sucks.

Fun Fact: My CD player in my car broke with a Motley Crue CD stuck in it. I’m guessing the CD rocked so hard that the player fainted from awesomeness. I get it, CD player, I get it.

Their best album. It rocks so fucking hard.

So, Spotify is super awesome, right? Well…
