My Podcast Is Back

I decided to bring my podcast, On The Phone With Matt, back from the dead. I really do wish I could blog more, but I never have the ambition to type. Talking is easier. It’s less clickity-clackity. So yeah, the podcast is back. New episodes should be out every Wednesday or so. You can find out more on that blog, linked above. Or you can just go listen if you like, on Spotify, Apple, Goodpods, and a couple others.

Anchor End Of Year “Story”

It’s called Wrapped, and this is the end of year thing everyone who has a podcast on Anchor gets, apparently. I was on Anchor last year but didn’t get one of these, so I’m guessing this is new. Hopefully it’s a one and done. If you’d like to see it for yourself, you can click here and watch what I watched. Except that’s unnecessary, because here it is, but with more context.

This one is for my newest podcast, To Catch A Cryptid, that I do with my wife. This Friday will be our 6th episode. That means that we put out 5 episodes before getting this “wrapped” thing, that probably should’ve come out, I don’t know, at the end of December? Maybe the new year? No, the end of November is the new end of the year now. I’m contacting the New Year’s Committee.

Christmas is now in November, Halloween in September, Thanksgiving in September… wait, October… Never mind, I’m confused.

It starts by showing me this…

My New Podcast

I’ve upgraded from a phone to a home studio, so I changed my podcast to In The Studio With Matt. Same crap, different name. Not only will this one be on all the same podcast sites and apps it was before, but it’ll also be on YouTube! If you don’t want to see my face, and I can’t say I blame you, don’t go the YouTube route. Also, don’t watch the video below. The new season starts on January 4th!

On The Phone S1E2

My next episode is up! I was going to embed the episode here, but for some reason it won’t, so click the link and check it out on Anchor!

I decided to do them twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, but then I found out today is International Podcast Day, so I did a special show just for it. My next will be next Tuesday.

I also created a website for it, which isn’t much, but if you’re interested you can check it out. I do have my podcast on a few different sites and they’re all listed on my site, so if you use one of them and can listen there, have at it!

I also have a Twitter account for the show, so if you’re on Twitter, check it out.

Spotify Review Take Two

Oh, I almost forgot. I tried Pandora. Turns out I already had an account with them from years ago. I didn’t like it then and quickly discovered why. It’s no Spotify. You can’t pick and choose songs for certain playlists, just bands or albums. I guess. I couldn’t find any of those options. So I’m going back to Spotify. I just hope they fix their shitty shuffle feature soon. Otherwise, it’s miles above Pandora, even with a shitty shuffle.

Spotify Review

One thing Twitter is absolutely wonderful for is contacting businesses and getting help. Which is why I don’t get rid of my account like I really want to. Because if I have an issue with any business, and if you know me I always do, the first thing I do is go to Twitter and tell them what for.

I’ve contacted many businesses for many problems, usually restaurants, but the one that was the most awesome with helping me has got to be Spotify. If you’ve never heard of them, they’re a music/podcast streaming service like Pandora. You can use their free version that has ads, or you can pay a small monthly fee for their premium, which allows you all kinds of cool things and doesn’t play ads.

Their selection of music is amazing, and I had a fun time searching through their catalogue to find stuff for my own playlists. What’s even cooler is, in the premium, if you download songs (which takes no time at all when connected to WiFi, and takes up almost no room on your phone) you can use their Offline Mode to listen when you don’t have service, with no real issues. Since I live in the country with no reception, the offline mode is awesome, and I can hook up my phone to my car stereo and listen to my playlist while I’m driving, which is super awesome cause my CD player broke and the radio sucks.

Fun Fact: My CD player in my car broke with a Motley Crue CD stuck in it. I’m guessing the CD rocked so hard that the player fainted from awesomeness. I get it, CD player, I get it.

Their best album. It rocks so fucking hard.

So, Spotify is super awesome, right? Well…
